JAKARTA (MKRI) — Central Maluku Regency DPRD Member Candidate No. 1 Kapressy Jacob from the United Indonesia Party (Perindo) submitting a petition over the General Election Results Dispute on the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), the Regional Legislative Council of Province and National Regency/City  2024 (PHPU DPR/DPRD) to the Constitutional Court (MK). The hearing of Case No. 258-02-16-31/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 filed by Kapressy Jacob was hand out by the Panel 2 led by the Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra along with the Constitutional Justices Ridwan Mansyur, and Arsul Sani on Tuesday (30/4/2024).

In this preliminary hearing, Kapressy Jacob (Petitioner) argued that there was a difference in her vote acquisition with Candidate Member of DPRD for Central Maluku Regency Number 2, Yuanita Missy from the Perindo Party. At this trial, Salman Alfarisi Simanjuntak as the Petitioner's legal counsel requested the annulment of General Election Commission Decree No. 360 of 2024 concerning Stipulation of the General Election for the Presidential, DPR, DPD, and the DPRD of Provincial/Region for the Central Maluku 1 electoral district (Dapil) that nationally announced on March 20 2024 at 22.19 WIB.

Salman stated in detail that the margin of votes for Candidate 1 according to the Respondent by 1,429 votes, vote acquisition for Candidate 2 to the Respondent by 1,437, and according to the Petitioner by 1,331, so the margin of votes was 106 votes. The votes inflation for the Legislative Candidate 2 were found in several villages and TPS in the Dapil Central Maluku 1. Among them, at TPS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and TPS 11 in Soahuku Village, Central Maluku District; TPS 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, and TPS 10 Amahai Village, Amahai District.

"Based on this description, the Petitioner requests the Court to determine the correct vote results for filling the membership of the Central Maluku Regency DPRD along the Dapil Central Maluku 1 from the Perindo Party as follows: Kapressy Jacob obtained 1,429 votes and Yuanita Missy obtained 1,331 votes; ordered the KPU to implement this decision," said Salman reading the Petitum.
