JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) held a preliminary hearing on Election Results Dispute of Member of the DPR RI (House of Representatives), Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) province, Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) Regency/City (Legislative PHPU) East Java Province on 2024.  Case No. 65-01-05-13 /PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 the hearing was presided over by Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra (panel chair) with Constitutional Justices Rdiwan Mansyur and Arsul Sani.

M. Hidayat as a Petitioner’s legal counsel argued that the Court to annul the KPU’s Decree No. 360 of 2024 on the national certification of the presidential, member of DPR, DPRD province and DPRD regency/city election result  announced on Wednesday, March 2024 at 22:11 WIB.

The petitioner noted that there were differences in the number of votes counted in favor of several other political parties in Central Java Constituency V, including Klaten, Boyolali, Sukoharjo, and Surakarta by 11,539 votes. This vote migration resulted in the loss of allocation of seats for members of the DPR from the Central Java V electoral district. According to the Petitioner, the right vote was 132,229 votes, while according to the Respondent, the NasDem Party's vote was only 123,690 votes. "This vote migration occurred in several electoral districts to several Related Parties, such as Gerindra Party, PSI, Perindo, Garuda Party, and PDIP," Arifin said.

Regarding these arguments, the Petitioner requests the Court to issue a decision to declare invalid and null and void the Minutes of Recapitulation of Vote Acquisition Results Number 218/PL.01.08-BA/05/2024 in the 2024 General Election dated March 20, 2024.
