JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) held preliminary hearing of Case No. 200-01-05-14/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 filed by the National Democratic Party (NasDem) on the 2024 Legislative Election Result (PHPU Legislative).  The PHPU Legislative Session was held by Panel 2, presided by Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra along with Constitutional Justices Ridwan Mansyur and Arsul Sani on Monday (29/4/2024).

Pangeran and Aida Mardatilah as legal team of the Petitioner requests the Court to hand down the following decision to grant the Petitioner’s request in its entirety; to cancel the KPU Decree No. 360 of 2024 on the certification of the 2024 DPR and DPRD election results dated March 20, 2024 in relation to the Yogyakarta 6 electoral district.

Pangeran noted that the margin of vote acquisition by both the Respondent and the Petitioner, as well as the vote acquisition for Golkar by both parties stood at 20,281 and 19,826 votes respectively. Additionally, the NasDem vote acquisition by both parties totaled 19,861 votes, indicating a discrepancy of 455 votes attributed to the recapitulation process at the sub-district level. The distribution of vote inflation was identified in Purwomartani Village, Tirtomartani Village, Tamanmartani Village, and Sekomartani Village.

"Based on the entire description, the Petitioner request that the Court grant the Petitioner's petition in its entirety; determine the correct vote acquisition results according to the Petitioner for filling the membership of the Yogyakarta Special Region Provincial DPRD Dapil 6 as follows: NasDem with 19,861 votes and Golkar with 19,826 votes; request the Respondent to conduct a recount of votes at several polling stations," Aida said, reading out the Petitioner's petitions.
