JAKARTA, MKRI - The National Democratic Party (Nasdem) became the sixth political party to file petition for the Dispute over the General Election Results of Members of the House of Representatives and Members of the Regional House of Representatives in 2024 (PHPU 2024). Previously on Friday and Saturday (22 - 23/3/2024), the Constitutional Court (MK) noted that five political parties had submitted PHPU petitions in-person by coming directly to the Constitutional Court Building. These political parties are the National Mandate Party (PAN), the People's Conscience Party (Hanura), the Golkar Party, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).

On Friday night, the Nasdem Party submitted PHPU petition for 3 (three) provinces, namely DKI Jakarta (the petition was submitted online), North Maluku, and West Papua Daya submitted in-person to Building 1 of the Constitutional Court. Nasdem Party attorney Regginaldo Sultan and his team directly delivered the petition files to the Constitutional Court along with evidence to strengthen the arguments of the petition. Regginaldo said that the first application from the Nasdem Party was filed for five electoral districts, including Ternate City DPRD District 2, West Halmahera DPRD District 1, South Halmahera DPRD District 3, Morotai Island DPRD District 3, and West Halmahera DPRD District 2.

"The problem here is in Ternate 2 electoral district. There we want justice for election voters related to the elimination of votes that occurred at one polling station. It is very unfortunate because this is the negligence of the organizer who forgot to sign the ballot papers, so that one polling station was cancelled, the voters were there and present," said Regginaldo when met after submitting the petition.

Election Violation

Meanwhile, Muhammad Rizal and Muhammad Irfan, who are also attorneys from the Nasdem Party, said that they filed an petition to dispute the results of the General Election of Members of the House of Representatives and Members of the Regional House of Representatives in 2024 for the Southwest Papua region. This petition was recorded at the Constitutional Court Registrar with the Deed of Submission of Petition (AP3) Number 02-01-05-38/AP3-DPR-DPRD/Pan.MK/03/2024 on Saturday (23/3/2024) at 00:14:32 WIB.

In the petition submitted to the Constitutional Court, Rizal highlighted various arguments, notably addressing the issue of election fraud in Sorong District 1, where unscrupulous candidates assumed roles as both chairmen and members of the Election Supervisory Committee (KPPS). In addition, there are also election crimes that have been submitted to Gakumdu, we also raise the issue of re-vote (PSU). There is also another fraud regarding the difference between Nasdem and PKS votes, here Nasdem got 1,280 votes and PKS 1,240," said Rizal in an interview with the MK media crew after submitting  petition at the PHPU Registration Desk in 2024.

With the submission of the petition from the Nasdem Party, the PHPU petition for 2024 increased to 10 (ten) PHPU for Members of the DPR RI, Provincial DPRD, Regency/City DPRD, 2 (two) PHPU for DPD Members, and 1 (one) General PHP for President and Vice President submitted by Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Number 1 Anies Rasyid Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar.
