JAKARTA (MKRI) — National Campaign Team (TPN) of Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates Number 3 Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD filed petition on Dispute Over Presidential and Vice Presidential Result (PHPU President) to the Constitutional Court (MK). The Ganjar-Mahfud legal team arrived at Building 3 of the Constitutional Court on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Some of the politicians present included PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, Masinton Pasaribu, Adian Napitupulu, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Chairman of the TPN Arsjad Rasjid, and Deputy for Legal Affairs of the Ganjar-Mahfud TPN, Todung Mulya Lubis. They arrived carrying stacks of files, which were then handed over to the case registration officer.

"Alhamdulillah, the registration of candidate pair number 03, Mr. Ganjar and Mr. Mahfud, has been completed. The petition number is 02-03/AP3-PRES/Pan.MK/03/2024. Tonight, we will finalize the evidence that we are compiling it today. So, InsyaAllah, it will be completed tonight, and we will be ready for the hearing on the schedule determined by the Constitutional Court," Todung said.

Todung stated that essentially, his party requested the Constitutional Court to disqualify candidate pair 02, namely Prabowo-Gibran, which, in the petitioner's opinion, had been registered in violation of legal and ethical provisions. "And that has actually been confirmed by MKMK (Constitutional Court ethics council) and DKPP (Election Organizer Ethics Council) ," Todung said.

"The Ganjar-Mahfud also requested a re-vote at all polling stations in Indonesia. "So, not in one or two places, but throughout Indonesia. We also ask the Constitutional Court to annul the KPU's (General Elections Commission) decision that was heard a few days ago and instruct the KPU to administer the re-voting," Todung explained.

According to him, this is a moment to observe the direction in which democracy and the supremacy of the constitution are heading. His party does not wish to witness democracy and the supremacy of the constitution being violated or disregarded.

"We perceive that the root of this issue lies in nepotism. Nepotism breeds coordinated abuse of power, which constitutes the core of the national and state challenges we encounter. Nepotism spawns numerous abuses of power. The indicators include Constitutional Court Decision Number 90, as well as the politicization of social assistance and criminalization," he conveyed to the journalists present.
