JAKARTA, MKRI – On the last day of filing petitions for the Dispute over the Results of the General Election of Members of the House of Representatives and Members of the Regional House of Representatives in 2024 (PHPU), the Constitutional Court (MK) received a petition submitted by an individual from the Aceh Party. T.R. Muhibbudin, represented by his attorney, Muzakir, submitted the PHPU petition on early morning Saturday (23/3/2024) in the Hall of Building 1 of the Constitutional Court, Jakarta. This petition was officially recorded in the Deed of Submission of Electronic Petition (APPP) with Number 09-02-21-01/AP3-DPR-DPRD/Pan.MK/03/2024."

In his petition, the Petitioner argued that there were 58 additional votes in three polling stations in Nagan Raya 2 electoral district, Aceh Province. This addition occurred due to violations committed by members of the Nagan Raya KIP. Muzakir explained that the violation had actually been reported to Bawaslu and received a recommendation to make improvements by opening the ballot box. "But the KIP person refused it. We were forced to go to the Constitutional Court," said Muzakir, who was met when submitting the application at 03.02 WIB in the morning.

Due to this violation, United Development Party’s (PPP) votes increased by 58 votes with a total of 5,721 votes which should have obtained 5,663 votes. "That is the argument that we will prove in court," said Muzakir.

With the submission of the petition from the Aceh Party, the PHPU petition for 2024 increased to 11 (eleven) petitions for Members of the DPR RI, Provincial DPRD, Regency / City DPRD. Then, as many as 2 (two) petitions for PHPU Members of DPD. As well as 1 (one) petition for the PHPU of the President and Vice President submitted by Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Number 1 Anies Rasyid Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar.
