JAKARTA (MKRI) — On Monday, October 2, 2023, Meidiantoni, a state civil apparatus of the Directorate-General of Taxation (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance, withdrew eight petitions that he had filed to the Constitutional Court (MK). The hearing took place in one of the Court’s panel courtrooms, with Constitutional Justices Manahan M. P. Sitompul (panel chair), Wahiduddin Adams, and Enny Nurbaningsih presiding.

“At today’s hearing, [the Court] would only like to ask for confirmation on the cases which the Petitioner withdrew based on a request letter dated September 27, 2023 sent to the Constitutional Court. The letter was only one while one letter is required for each case. The Petitioner should have sent one letter for each withdrawal request. So, to fulfill the administrative requirement, the letter must be one for each case and cannot be one-for-all like the Petitioner sent. Please sent letters requesting the withdrawal of the cases through email or postal service,” said Justice Manahan to the Petitioner, who attended the hearing online.

The Petitioner filed the petitions No. 119/PUU-XXI/2023 on Law No. 13 of 2022 on the Second Amendment to Law No. 12 of 2011 on Lawmaking, No. 120/PUU-XXI/2023 on Article 7A of the 1945 Constitution, No. 121/PUU-XXI/2023 on Law No. 48 of 2009 on Judicial Power, No. 125/PUU-XXI/2023 on Law No. 51 of 2009 on the Second Amendment to Law No. 5 of 1986 on the State Administrative Court, No. 133/PUU-XXI/2023 on Law No. 8 of 2011 on the Amendment to Law No. 24 of 2003 on the Constitutional Court, No. 109/PUU-XXI/2023 on Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Procedure Code, No. 111/PUU-XXI/2023 on the 1945 Constitution, No. 112/PUU-XXI/2023 on Law No. 40 of 2014 on Insurance and Law No. 7 of 2021 on the Harmonization of Taxation Regulations (HPP Law) .
