JAKARTA (MKRI) — Head of Center for Research, Case Review, and Library Management (Puslitka) Pan Mohamad Faiz explained the Center’s integrity zone development before the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPANRB) at the Constitutional Court on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. He explained Puslitka’s main services, innovations, and achievements.

Its innovation and achievement is the e-ASLI application, which was specifically designed to support the functional position of expert assistant to constitutional justice (ASLI). This application’s main features simplify the position’s duties and responsibilities of providing substantive support to the constitutional justices in the form of case review.

“This application is confidential and can only be accessed by the justices’ expert assistants. This aims to simplify the tiered bureaucracy and avoid information leaks. So, it can only be opened by the justices. It will be developed and be integrated by other applications because we will be a supervisory agency [for the functional position of ASLI],” he explained.

Faiz continued that, aside from e-ASLI, Puslitka has the Constitutional Review (ConsRev) journal, which is Scopus-indexed. “The Court’s Puslitka will be the one and only state institution that has a law journal that is Scopus-indexed and has an international reputation,” he said.

Faiz also said that Puslitka has built a national library that has a high standard as proven by the accreditation A awarded by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia.

“We also present innovation by publishing hundreds of books by justices and the Court’s staff members. It could potentially break a record for the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) because many staff members like writing books. One person can even write 2-3 books each year,” he emphasized.

He added that the Court gives reward to staff members who excel in performance and potential through an annual recharging program, which has been carried out since 2017, except in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As one of the employee development programs, this program is important to be held continuously to enrich knowledge and insights to keep up with development, not only in Indonesia but also internationally,” Faiz said to the four KemenPANRB staff members.

The meeting was continued with a visit to the Constitution History Center (Puskon) on the 5-6th floor of the Court’s main building, and ended at the Constitutional Court’s Library on the 3rd floor of the second building.
