BOGOR (MKRI) — The workshop on the procedural law for the 2024 General Election Results Dispute (PHPU) for the Nusantara Awakening Party (PKN) was officially concluded on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Pancasila and Constitution Education Center (Pusdik) in Cisarua, Bogor Regency, West Java Province.
During the closing ceremony, Head of the Program and Implementation of the Pancasila and Constitution Education Center Nanang Subekti said that the presentations during the workshop could provide the participants with an understanding of the procedure for the general election results dispute in the Constitutional Court. He explained that PHPU settlement is very fast, so the procedural law is very strict. This is so that PHPU cases can be settled on time.
He hoped the participants would also hold similar events in their respective areas so that all of the party’s members receive the materials they received at the workshop. “In practice, drafting a petition or the relevant party testimony is very simple. What is difficult is collecting evidence. That is the most difficult. PKN members must understand that so that they really prepare early. Winning or losing is another matter but preparing early to collect evidence that occurs at each polling station [is crucial],” he explained.
Meanwhile, in his closing remarks, PKN Secretary-General Sri Mulyono expressed appreciation for the workshop. He apologized for any shortcomings and mistakes of the participants. “This is the first time for us, so we may have shortcomings and mistakes. Please forgive us and be understanding. I would like to thank the participants for following the event very well,” he said.
He also hoped that the participants can spread the knowledge gained from this workshop to other PKN members in regions throughout the archipelago.
