BANYUWANGI, (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) received a second-place award from the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) within the Highly Satisfactory (AA) category as a state/non-structural agency based on archival supervision results in 2022. The award was given away by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas alongside head of ANRI Imam Gunarto to Head of the General Affairs Bureau Elisabeth during the summit of the 52nd Archive Day celebration on Monday, May 22, 2023 in Banyuwangi, East Java Province.

In his opening remarks for the event entitled “Archival Movement: Towards Advanced Bureaucracy, Collective Memory of Nation and Superior Civilization,” Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas talked about the importance of effective, efficient, integrated archival management to build databases at the central and regional governments.

Meanwhile, head of ANRI Imam Gunarto said that on this Archive Day, hopefully everyone would be able to learn from the journey of Indonesia’s archives and archival figures’ model for better archives to support the vision and mission of the President and Vice President.

The event was held based on the Circular Letter of the Head of ANRI No. 2 of 2023 on the celebration of the 52nd Archive Day in 2023. It was aimed at improving synergy between archival stakeholders that are ministries, agencies, regional governments, higher education institutions, and state-/region-owned enterprises to implement digital transformation in archive management and at preserving the nation’s collective memory.
