SOUTH TANGERANG (MKRI) — Talent Management on the SIMANTAP application is a breakthrough for the Constitutional Court (MK), said Acting Secretary-General Heru Setiawan at a meeting for the optimization of Talent Management system database on Saturday, March 12 in Serpong, South Tangerang, Banten Province. The meeting took place on Friday-Sunday, March 10-12 with 56 attendees from the Registrar's Office and the Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court.

“It means that the process is done fairly and the decisions made fairly. These two principles must be realized. The Court has this [groundbreaking] work that the [Civil Service Commission (KASN)] has approved. Talent Management has become important. Talent Management can be used for fair assessment. Fairness must start from the self. Talent Management can measure performance. If someone does not work, it is unfair for those who do,” he said.

He expressed hope that the Talent Management be able to promote fairness among the staff members of the Registrar's Office and the Secretariat General. He also hoped that Talent Management would be able to provide services that facilitate justice seekers.

“We have to adapt to the Talent Management. We might also have to compete with it. By implementing Talent Management, we will have trust from the public,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Human Resources Department Andi Hakim revealed that the attendees had put forward many significant ideas and inputs on the variables and implementation of Talent Management, which had been sorted into 23 points of issues.

“(These points) will be a guideline and an important material for the application and implementation of comprehensive and fair Talent Management. This meeting is not the end. There will be improvements and continuous efforts so that the Talent Management and Merit System can pass the assessment,” he said.

The day before, the attendees had listed issues in the implementation of Talent Management in their respective units. They agreed to form a special team to follow up on the meeting. Talent Management and Merit System are regulated under the Regulation of Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform No. 3 of 2020 on ASN Talent Management. ASN Talent Management is the system for managing ASNs’ careers, comprising acquisition, development, retention, and placement of priority talents for target positions based on potential and performance through certain effective and sustainable mechanism for fulfilling the needs of central and regional institutions.
