BOGOR (MKRI) — The workshop on the procedural law for the 2024 General Election Results Dispute Resolution (PHPU) for the Golongan Karya (Golkar) Party was officially closed on Thursday, March 2, 2023. The event took place on Monday-Thursday, February 27 to March 2 at the Pancasila and Constitution Education Center (Pusdik) in Bogor, West Java Province.
In her closing remarks, Acting Head of the Pancasila and Constitution Education Center Elisabeth said one of the Court’s authority is adjudicating disputes over the results of general and regional elections. Therefore, it designed workshops on election results dispute resolution (PHPU) for litigating parties to educate them on the procedural law.
“If the litigating parties understand the procedure for election results dispute resolution, any dispute [petition] lodged to the Court can be resolved easily and swiftly. The participation of Golkar cadres in this event could be a way to facilitate hearings [on PHPU] in the Constitutional Court,” she said in person from Grha Konstitusi 3.
Elisabeth also hoped that the participation of the Golkar Party, which have representation all across Indonesia, can be the Court’s partner in improving access to justice for the people. Concluding her remarks, she hoped the workshop would prove beneficial for all participants and that they could actively participate in upholding justice in the upcoming election. “[Thank God], the workshop on the general election results dispute resolution for the Golongan Karya Party is hereby officially closed,” she said.
