BOGOR, HUMAS MKRI – The Court upheld democracy so that not a single political party participating in the 2024 Simultaneous General Election (PHPU 2024) will have their political rights violated or cheated. This was conveyed by the Head of Program and Administration, Nanang Subekti representing the Acting Secretary General at the closing of the 2024 General Results Dispute Workshop for the Gerindra Party which took place on Thursday (16/2/2023) at the Center of Pancasila and Constitution Education, Cisarua, Bogor.
Nanang continued that the Court made great efforts to create constitutional democracy. One of the efforts made is by holding a workshop for political parties participating in the 2024 Simultaneous Elections.

"Through this workshop, the participants counted as friends of the court. For that, let's realize our democracy to be more mature so that problems that occur during elections can be resolved before going to the Constitutional Court. So, it is hoped that the Constitutional Court will be the last option in disputes over general election results," Nanang said.

On this occasion, Raka Gani Pissani from the DPP Gerindra Party was also present who represented conveying messages and impressions regarding the implementation of the workshop. "Thank you to Pusdik and the facilitators who have provided knowledge about preparing PHPU applications. Many valuable experiences were learned while at Pusdik, from togetherness, discipline, and practice. While we're here, there may be some behavior we don't like. We apologize for the mistake. Hopefully, this activity can continue to be held to increase our knowledge. This activity is also a place for knowledge and kindness and strengthens friendship as a member of the Gerindra Party," said Raka.

After receiving material regarding the technique of preparing the Petitioner's petition and the statement of the Related Party on the previous day, the participants received an evaluation regarding the application made on the fourth day. The activities were held on Monday - Thursday (13-16/2/2023) and attended by 151 participants. The materials include: (1) the Constitutional Court and the Dynamics of Handling PHPU Cases at the Constitutional Court; (2) Procedures for Settlement of Disputes on the 2024 General Election Results; (3) Mechanisms, Stages, and Activities for Handling Cases for Dispute Settlement on the 2024 General Election Results; (4) Techniques and Practices for Compiling the Petitioner's Application and Compilation of Related Party Statements; (5) Information System for Handling Disputes over the 2024 General Election Results; and (6) Evaluation of the results of the Compilation of the Petitioner's Application and the Compilation of Related Party Statements.
