JAKARTA (MKRI) — Constitutional Justice Saldi Isra and Acting Secretary-General Heru Setiawan welcomed Sascha Hardt, assistant professor of the Law Faculty of Maastricht University, and Radian Salman and Rosa Ristawati of the Center for Constitutional and Administrative Studies of the Law Faculty of Airlangga University at the Constitutional Court (MK) on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. The Head of the AACC Permanent Secretariat and International Relations Department Sri Handayani, the Head of the International Affairs Division Immanuel Bungkulan Binsar Hutasoit, and Expert Assistant to Constitutional Justices Pan Mohamad Faiz Kusuma W. were also in attendance.

After listening Hardt’s presentation on “Expertise, Capacity, and Network: Potential for Cooperation,” Justice Saldi positively welcomed the offer of cooperation to improve the quality of the Constitutional Court’s staff members, especially on law. He asked Hardt to prepare a brief proposal on the university’s selling points.

“This year and for the next two years, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia will be busy with several big agendas. However, the Court always welcome offers of cooperation such as this because they can be a means for us to keep up-to-date and to upgrade [our skills]. We hope that Maastricht University will provide an illustration of the knowledge that [our employees] will gain if they study law there,” he said.

Maastricht University is an international university in the Netherlands which is known for its innovative and international learning approaches. It offers a range of academic programs from psychology to law to international business. In addition, most of the lectures are in English, thereby creating an attractive international atmosphere for international students.
