(MKRI) — Acting Head of the Planning and Finance Bureau, Tatang Garjito represented Acting Secretary-General Heru Setiawan to open a meeting for the Constitutional Court’s Unaudited Financial Report of 2022. The event took place from Wednesday-Friday, January 25-27, 2023 in Bekasi, West Java.

Tatang asserted that the management of the Constitutional Court state finances was in accordance with established plans. In addition, the Court’s budget had been examined by the Audit Board (BPK). Therefore, in accordance with the Letter of the Director-General for Treasury No. 54/PB/PB.6/2022 dated December 29, 2022 on the Schedule of Reconciliation, Preparation, and Delivery of Financial Reports of Ministries/State Agencies (LKKL) of 2022 (Unaudited), the Court’s Unaudited Financial Report of 2022 must be submitted to the Minister of Finance no later than February 17, 2023.

The 3-day long event presented speakers from the Directorate of Accounting and Financial Reporting, the Directorate of Information Systems and Treasury Technology, the Directorate of State Assets, and the State Assets and Auction Services (KPKNL) of Region IV of Jakarta.

The event was an inseparable part of the Court’s financial accountability and an effort to maintain unqualified opinion (WTP), which it has received 16 times consecutively since 2006, in order to carry out its responsibility in state finances management, as mandated by President Joko Widodo, who emphasized that that unqualified opinion from BPK over a financial report would not be an achievement but a duty in using the state budget (APBN).

This event, which involved all relevant units within the Constitutional Court (the Planning and Finance Bureau, the General Affairs Bureau, and the Inspectorate), would help the Court discuss and overcome problems following existing principles.
