JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court’s (MK) Center for Information and Communication Technology (PusTIK) won the rotating SIKD Award in November 2022 for the fifth time in 2022 for its SIKD response speed. The award was conferred on Friday, December 2, 2022 before Constitutional Justice M. Guntur Hamzah and acting Secretary-General Heru Setiawan at the meeting room on the 11th floor.
The center has placed first for the award in June, July, September, October, and November of 2022. In August, it placed second. In February, March, and May, it placed third. In January and April it fell to the eighth and seventh place. The center’s team received appreciation from Constitutional Justice M. Guntur Hamzah, who also delivered remarks to the Court’s structural officials for the advancement of the Court and its future performance.
“I observed the SIKD responses have been improved and hopefully in the future its use will also improve. This is important as it is one of the means to prove and ensure that the performance of each unit and individual in the Constitutional Court can be measured, so that the Court can advance just as judicial institutions in other parts of the world that have become modern organizations with integrity and accountability,” Justice Guntur said.

The SIKD was first founded on the idea of fast and easy management of archives to facilitate an institution’s leadership and the general public. It aims to minimize the manual archives, which could lead to difficulties in finding archives when needed and even loss of archives—a constraint that hinders any organization.
The SIKD was founded as a solution to archival management issues using information technology. The central government’s national policy regarding the SIKD reflects President Joko Widodo’s Nawacita (nine Priorities Agenda), the electronic-based government system (SPBE), as well as the National Archives’ (ANRI) policy that mandates all institutions/agencies to use it to manage their archives. This is in line with the Court’s vision to uphold the Constitution through a modern and reliable judiciary.
The main objective of the SIKD is to provide an easy, fast, effective, and efficient archiving service. The Registrar’s Office and the Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court felt a significant change after using the SIKD application for archive management. For example, the use of paper and printer ink has drastically declined, leading to reduction of storage space. As a consequence, archive management has become more efficient, the speed of service delivery is higher, and data is more secure.
