JAKARTA, (MKRI) — Thirty-five participants of the constitution awareness program (PPHKWN) for constitution village apparatuses and figures visited the Constitution History Center (Puskon) on Thursday, December 1, 2022. They were welcomed by librarian Hanindyo at the hall of the Constitutional Court’s main building.

The participants were taken to visit the center at the fifth and sixth floors of the main building of the Court. “The Constitution History Center is an educational facility that documents the dynamic history of the Constitution and the Constitutional Court through a combination of displays of information, art, and technology in the form of holograms, reliefs, dioramas, and so on,” Hanindyo said.

The center is divided into eight zones. First, the Pre-Independence Zone, which shows the struggles of independence in many regions in Indonesia against the colonial and displays the national awareness that culminated in the Youth Pledge of October 28, 1928. Second, the Independence Zone, which displays the preparations of the independence until the proclamation of independence on August 17,1945 and the hologram of the reading of the text of proclamation by President Soekarno.

Third until seventh, the 1945 Constitution Zone, the Zone of the Constitution of the Republic of the United States of Indonesia (RIS), the Zone of the Provisional Constitution of 1950, the Zone of the Return to the 1945 Constitution, and the 1945 Constitution Amendment Zone. The last zone, the Constitutional Court Zone, displays the history of the constitutional court, including the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MKRI). After visiting the center, the participants visited the courtroom in the second building of the Court.

The PPHKWN program took place on Monday to Thursday, November 28 to December 12, 2022 at the Pancasila and the Constitution in Cisarua, Bogor. Thirty-five participants—apparatuses of five constitution villages—followed presentations on the implementation of Pancasila values, the Constitution and constitutionalism, and many more.
