JAKARTA (MKRI)—The Constitutional Court (MK) participated in the public monitoring and evaluation (monev) test on public information disclosure of 2022 organized by the Central Information Commission (KIP) on Monday, October 31, 2022 at the Redtop Hotel, Jakarta. Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Heru Setiawan and news analyst Raisa Ayuditha Marsaulina represented the Court at the event.

KIP chairman Donny Yoesgiantoro, who attended the event on site, revealed that 108 out of 372 public institutions had returned the forms for the monev. “This monitoring and evaluation must benefit the public and public institutions, especially the public as the target of public disclosure,” he said.

The monev was held under the theme “Digitizing Information Disclosure of Public Institutions in the Recovery Period from Covid-19,” where a presentation on “Realizing Transparent Public Institutions” was delivered. The assessment aspects include innovation in public information disclosure; strategies of sustainable public information disclosure; and clarification in the form of questionnaire, public questions, and/or in-depth questions. The assessors were KIP members, academics, practitioners, and CSOs with competency in public information disclosure.

Before the assessment, the Court had filled the questionnaire, which comprised public information disclosure monev assessment (85%) and presentation (15%). The questionnaire covered several dimensions: facilities and infrastructure, quality of information, types of information, organization’s commitment, digitization, and goods and services. In 2021, the Court received a Public Information Openness (KIP) Award of 2021 in the ‘informative’ category for public institutions. Since 2011, it has routinely been participating in events held by the KIP in order to comply with Law No, 14 of 2007 on Public Information Openness.
