JAKARTA, Public Relations—The constitution awareness program (PPHKWN) for the board and members of the Corps of Indonesian Muslim Students Alumni (KAHMI), which the Constitutional Court (MK) held through the Pancasila and Constitution Education Center (Pusdik) was officially closed on Friday, May 20, 2022 by acting head Imam Margono alongside KAHMI secretary-general Manimbang Kahariady.
In his remarks, Imam said the enforcement of law and the Constitution as well as the implementation of a democratic state of law and Pancasila required a good level of constitutional awareness from all citizens. The PPHKWN aimed to enable citizens to play an optimal role. Every citizen must understand the constitutional rights guaranteed in the Constitution and the efforts to defend the Constitution.
“In an effort to increase public access to justice, the Constitutional Court through Pusdik has increased or implemented constitution awareness programs, which on this occasion targeted KAHMI. We believe that KAHMI as an organization has a strategic role in helping to promote the values Pancasila and the Constitution because upholding [them] cannot be done only by state institutions, but also every citizen,” Imam said.
