MATARAM, Public Relations—Transparency is the spirit of justice and the guardian against dishonesty. It puts judges under scrutiny while they adjudicate cases. Therefore, all of the Constitutional Court’s (MK) activities are made public on its website—the petitions filed, the transcripts of the hearings, the decisions, the budgets, its hearing and non-hearing activities—said Secretary-General M. Guntur Hamzah in a public lecture on “The Direction for the Development of National Law and Digital Culture of the Constitutional Court” for the Law Faculty of the Muhammadiyah University of Mataram (FH UMMat) in collaboration with the Court on Thursday, December 30, 2021.

Guntur said that the Court is developing digital culture. Currently, he added, several things influence a country’s policies: the executive, legislative, and judicial branches; mass media; independent institutions; bureaucracy; NGOs; and netizens. It should be noted, he said, that netizens influence government policies, especially when digital access is very high.

“For this reason, hopefully, content created especially millennials reflects the Pancasila culture,” Guntur said.

In addition, through the Court’s website, the public can access all information that reflects the Court’s real steps in exercising its authorities. The website presents the Court’s activities, its history, its vision and mission, as well as legal products that it has produced.
