Chief Justice Confers Law Books to Library of LPW NTB

LOMBOK, Public Relations—In the effort to improve literacy and build the community’s understanding of the Constitution, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman made an official visit and handed over book donation to the library of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Development Institute (LPW) on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

Twenty titles of books on law by the chief justice, staff members, and researchers of the Court were received symbolically by the head of the LPW NTB library Ulul Azmi before LPW NTB Director Taufan and Law Advocacy officer Rian.

Importance of Legal Literacy

Justice Anwar once talked about the importance of legal literacy and education at the launching and review of book by the academics of the Law Faculty of Andalas University on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Andalas University’s Convention Hall, which marked the faculty’s 70th anniversary. At the time, he said that education and literacy for students and the community must not stop but continue, because it is the key to success in building the nation and state. It will facilitate the nation in creating a just society in prosperity and prosperity in justice.

“Our efforts along with students, legal activists, academics and practitioners, are actually joint efforts to build a better civilization. History has recorded and taught us a valuable lesson that treating humankind fairly through the law is an absolute must. The history of law can be said to be as old as the history of human civilization,” he stressed.
