JAKARTA, Public Relations—Secretary-General M. Guntur Hamzah officially closed the technical assistance program (bimtek) on Legal Drafting Batch III on Friday, September 10, 2021. The Constitutional Court (MK) collaborated with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Association of Constitutional and Administrative Law Lectures of Indonesia (APHTN-HAN) to organize the program.

Before 100 participants who attended the program virtually, Guntur said that the program was aimed at improving the competencies of constitutional and administrative law lectures and the Court’s staff members.

Legal drafting, he said, not only requires knowledge but also artistic sense. He hoped the program would produce competent legal drafters.

“Besides knowledge, artistic sense is also needed by legal drafters because it concerns formulating spoken language in the community into formal legal style,” Guntur said.

The participants were also given the opportunity to talk about their experience attending the program. Aidul Fitriciada Azhari gave a testimony that he joined the program to learn. He also said that it was important and beneficial for constitutional and administrative law lectures.

“The program gave encouragement. Many things were obtained from this activity and all of them were very useful,” he said.
