JAKARTA, Public Relations—The Constitutional Court (MK) organized the socialization of the Government Internal Control System SPIP on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 virtually. The event was aimed at improving the Registrar’s Office and Secretariat-General of the Constitutional Court’s performance to prepare to become a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and the Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Zone (WBBM).

A Financial and Development Supervisory Agency’s (BPKP) representative Didi Wahyudi explained that the SPIP is determined by a government regulation. It is an integral process to the activities carried out by the leadership and all employees, as it provides assurance of the achievement of organizational goals through effective and efficient activities, reliable financial reporting, safeguarding state assets, and compliance with laws and regulations. The objectives of the SPIP are operational effectiveness and efficiency, reliability of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and asset security

Didi said that the BPKP is responsible for issuing guidelines, conducting training on Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP), and supervising ministries/agencies/regional working units/other institutions. The Government Regulation (PP) No. 60 of 2008 not only regulations internal supervisory in the SPIP, but also governance as well as risk management and control.

The government regulation stipulates that government institution leaderships are responsible for developing plans, determining organizational goals, and building internal control system to achieve organizational goals through four goals of the SPIP. The SPIP has an important role of ensuring the achievement of organizational goals as well as improving performance, transparency, accountability, and management of the state finances. It is not an additional duty but is integrated in the managerial responsibilities and involves all staff members.

The success of the SPIP requires the support of the leadership in building institutional policies, communicating those policies, and managing risks in the institution, and reviewing those risks. The SPIP is implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation, and implementation of the control action plan (RTP).
