JAKARTA, Public Relations—State officials, members of the military (TNI), and students attended the 2021 Pancasila Day ceremony virtually and in person in the Pancasila building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. The ceremony was led by President Joko Widodo. This year’s ceremony was themed “Pancasila in Action, Unity for Resilient Indonesia.” Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman attended the annual event virtually from the Constitutional Court, Jakarta.

President Joko Widodo in his speech stated that the commemoration of Pancasila should be used to strengthen Pancasila values in society and the state. Although Pancasila has been integrated into the lives of Indonesian people for a long time, the challenges are not getting any easier. In fact, there are things to watch out for, including the increasing rivalry between transnational ideologies that has entered people's lives in various ways.

Therefore, he urged that Pancasila values be explored in new ways, through science and technology whose development is founded on Pancasila. He also urged all elements of society, especially the younger generation, to unite and work actively to strengthen the values of Pancasila in realizing an advanced Indonesia.

Happy Pancasila Birthday. Let us implement Pancasila in the life of the nation and state.
