JAKARTA, Public Relations—The Constitutional Court (MK) held another judicial review hearing of Law No. 11 of 2021 on Job Creation on Tuesday afternoon, April 27, 2021. The case No. 9/PUU-XIX/2021 was filed by Herman Dambea, represented by attorneys Riyan Nasaru and Rovan Panderwais Hulima.
Dambea, a commissioner of PT Radio Al-Adha in Gorontalo, North Sulawesi, challenged a provision on business license in Article 33 of the Job Creation Law that had harmed his constitutional rights. However, there was a technical issue just after the hearing commenced. When Hulima was about to read out the points of petition, his voice came out unclear, leading the panel having to call for a recess.
After the hearing resumed, the technical issues persisted. The panel then decided to delay the hearing.
“Because thirty minutes has passed, the Court wouldn’t have enough time to dispense advice. So this hearing will be delayed until a later date that will be decided by the Registrar’s Office. Please be ready to be notified. I hereby declare the hearing concluded,” said panel chair Constitutional Justice Manahan M. P. Sitompul alongside Constitutional Justices Arief Hidayat and Saldi Isra.
