JAKARTA, Public Relations - The Court held a ruling hearing to pronounce the decision on the case of South Tapanuli Regent (Tapsel) election result dispute on Wednesday (17/2/2021). The Court is of the opinion that the petition of candidate pair Number 1 MHD. Yusuf Siregar and Roby Agusman Harahap exceeding the deadline, therefore, it declared unacceptable.

"declares that the petition is unacceptable," said Chief Justice Anwar Usman accompanied by other constitutional judges while reading Decision Number 22 / PHP.BUP-XIX / 2021 on Wednesday (17/02/2021 ) in the Plenary Court Room.

The deadline is three working days since the Respondent announced the result of the vote acquisition on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Meanwhile, the petition was submitted online on Friday 18 December 2020 at 00.06 WIB (based on Application Deed No. 22 / PAN.MK / AP3 / 12/2020). Therefore the petition is submitted after the deadline specified in the regulations

"Since the petition is submitted exceeding the deadline determined by statutory regulations, therefore the exception of the Respondent and the Relevant Party regarding is legally grounded. Thus, other exceptions plead by the Respondent and the Related Party, were not considered by the Court, "said Justice Daniel Yusmic P. Foekh.
