JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman received the audit report (LPH) on the Constitutional Court’s finances from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on Thursday, August 13, 2020 in the Delegation Room. The report was handed over by BPK Member III Achsanul Qosasi, who was accompanied by the State Finance Main Auditor III Bambang Pamungkas and two other BPK officials.

Achsanul said that the Constitutional Court as a state institution has been consistent since the beginning to maintain its commitment in delivering reports. This, he said, is reflected in its achievement of unqualified (WTP) opinion—the best audit level—for 14 times for its reports. He expressed his hope that BPK and the Court will be able to deliver even better performance reports following constitutional mandate.

In response, Chief Justice Anwar hoped that state agencies will be able to form synergy in financial management, especially in this trying time against COVID-19. The chief justice, who had worked in financial management prior to becoming a constitutional justice, believes wholeheartedly in accountability. Every digit in the state finance must be accountable for. “Therefore, the Constitutional Court through its authorities must be able to safeguard the state and nation,” he said when welcoming BPK officials alongside the Constitutional Court’s ethics council member Achmad Sodiki, Secretary General M. Guntur Hamzah, and other officials.
