Constitutional Court Supports MPR's Constitutional Duties

JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—Secretary General of the Constitutional Court (MK) M. Guntur Hamzah gave a testimony on the electronic-based administration system (SPBE) for the homework project for the Level I National National Leadership Training of Class 2020 organized by the Secretariat General of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR).

"On behalf of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia, I’d like to offer the greatest appreciation to the Secretariat General of the People’s Consultative Assembly and its officials for their achievements," Guntur said at his office on the 11th floor of the Constitutional Court building, Monday morning (29/6/2020). 

The Secretariat General of the MPR is modernizing the governance of community and regional aspirations using IT as SPBE implementation aimed at facilitating the community, regions, and state institutions in expressing their aspirations to the MPR through the constitution e-aspiration application. Guntur said it shows the MPR’s efforts to contribute to the community and the state.

"We once again offer our congratulations and highest appreciation for these achievements. This ICT-based constitution e-aspiration […] application and platform will be useful and will make facilitate the work in the MPR to be far more effective," he said. 

One of the MPR’s duties is to listen to the aspirations of the people, regions, and state institutions related to the implementation of the 1945 Constitution as stipulated in Law No. 17 of 2014 on MPR, DPR, DPD, and DPRD in conjunction with the MPR Regulation No. 1 of 2019 on the Code of Conduct of the MPR.
