JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The Constitutional Court (MK) justices Aswanto, Wahiduddin Adams, Manahan M. P. Sitompul, and Daniel Yusmic Pancastaki Foekh underwent rapid COVID-19 testing at their respective residences on Monday (6/4/2020), facilitated by the polyclinic team.

“Alhamdulillah [thank God], the rapid COVID-19 testing of the deputy chief constitutional justice and four other justices came up negative,” said dr. Verra Yunita Mamonto, coordinator of the Court’s clinic via telephone.

Mamonto said that the Constitutional Court is among the state institutions that had the earliest rapid COVID-19 testing. Including the constitutional justices, 88 staff members have undergone the rapid testing.

“We planned on continuing the rapid testing tomorrow on April 7, 2020 to Chief Justice Anwar Usman and Constitutional Justice Suhartoyo,” she said.

The rapid testing will prioritize the medical staff, the constitutional justices, the court officers, and the justices’ assistants.

“The rapid testing can also be done independently. We have prepared around 520 rapid test kits. Should any staff member [show any indication of COVID-19 infection], the Court has cooperated with [Gatot Soebroto] Army Hospital for further treatment," Mamonto said.

One of the work units at the forefront of the Constitutional Court’s COVID-19 Task Force is the clinic’s medical personnel. They consist of 13 people—two general physicians, two dentists, four nurses, two pharmacists, one physiotherapist, and a medical laboratory staff.
