JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—Twenty notaries from the Indonesian Notary Association (INI) visited the Constitutional Court (MK) on Wednesday (19/2/2020). The delegation consisted of the West Java INI executive board, the Padjadjaran University Notary Association (Ikano), and the Padjadjaran University Notary Masters Program (MKn). They were welcomed by Chief Constitutional Justice Anwar Usman, Secretary General M. Guntur Hamzah, and Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Heru Setiawan in the Delegation Room.

Ikano Chairperson Ranti Fauziah Amin invited the constitutional justices to speak in a seminar in relation to the Constitutional Court Decision No. 18/PUU-XVII/2019 on Fiduciary Security. Chief Justice Anwar welcomed the invitation, saying, "Constitutional Justice will attend on behalf [of the Court]."

Applicable Solutions

Ikano Advisory Board Chairman Badar Baraba expected the seminar to provide with applicable solutions to the Constitutional Court decision, which impacted notaries in issuing deeds.

"We will make new deeds after adjusting to the Constitutional Court\'s decision regarding breach of the trust when and how [it] occurs, what the forced confiscation mechanism is like without any breach of trust. Admittedly, the Constitutional Court\'s decisions answered the needs of the community," Badar said. (Sri Pujianti/NRA)
