JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—Nineteen students of the Teacher Training College (STKIP) PGRI Tulungagung visited the Constitutional Court (MK) on Monday (27/01/2020). They were welcomed by researcher Titis Anindyajati in the 4th floor Delegation Room.

Titis introduced to the students the authorities of the Constitutional Court, among others to decide on election results dispute (PHPU) cases. She also shared her experience while handling the 2019 simultaneous elections results dispute cases.

"All evidence were examined and understood. There are staff members who specifically read all the evidence. In fact, I was involved in reading up to eight boxes of all the evidence that came in, my own. So, it is very sad when [people assume] that the abundant evidence was not examined while we did it in earnest," Titis revealed.

Titis also introduced to the students the litigating parties in the Constitutional Court and the types of cases. She mentioned the highly phenomenal judicial review case of the Manpower Law filed by a security officer who had been laid off and not received decent severance pay that he had deserved. She then encouraged the students to understand their constitutional rights as citizens.

"So, the Constitutional Court is a court that accepts anyone who wishes to file a case, provided there are constitutional rights that are violated against the 1945 Constitution," Titis explained.

At the end of the presentation, before inviting students to the Constitution History Center of the Constitutional Court, Titis invited the millennial students who are very familiar with social media to join the Court\'s social media. (Sri Pujianti/NRA)
