JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The Constitutional Court (MK) held a follow-up judicial review hearing of Law Number 15 of 2006 on the Audit Board (BPK Law) and Law Number 15 of 2004 on State Financial Management & Accountability Audit in the Plenary Courtroom of the Constitutional Court on Thursday (9/1/2020).
The case No. 54/PUU-XVII/2019 was petitioned by lecturers Ahmad Redi (Petitioner I) and Muhammad Ilham Darmawan (Petitioner II), and student Kexia Goutama (Petitioner III). In the case, the Petitioners stated that Article 6 paragraph (3) of the BPK Law and Article 4 paragraph (1) of the State Financial Management Law are unconstitutional.
Today’s hearing had been scheduled to hear the statements of the Experts and Witnesses of the Petitioners. However, attorney Victor S. Tandiasa stated that his client agreed not to present witnesses and experts. "After a discussion, we agreed not to bring experts and witnesses," said Victor.
Panel chair Chief Constitutional Justice Anwar Usman with the other eight constitutional justices postponed the hearing until Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 11:00 WIB to hear the statements of Experts for the Government. (Sri Pujianti/LA)
