JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The Constitutional Court (MK) held a meeting on “Development of Information System on Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Constitutional Court Decisions” on Tuesday (10/12/2019) on the 11th floor of the Constitutional Court. "We have held several meetings of this kind to find out the methods to monitor the implementation of the Constitutional Court\'s decisions. We have received a lot of input," Guntur said when opening a meeting before law experts, law faculty lecturers from various universities throughout Indonesia, law institutions such as the Association for Elections and Democracy (Perludem), and Constitutional Court officials.
“We are honored by the presence of law experts and practitioners, law faculty lecturers, including [those] from Perludem, and other guests," he added. He said that in this modern era the Court has built information technology. Currently, most government agencies have applied electronic-based systems.
"To make this monitoring system effective, we are trying to build an e-monitoring application. Therefore, there are two things that need input from you, ladies and gentlemen. First, regarding the platform. We will observe the monitoring of the implementation of the Constitutional Court\'s decisions. Second, concerning the substance of the Constitutional Court\'s decisions related to five cases that have been decided. All of these decisions concern employment," Guntur said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Legal and Registrar Administration Bureau Wiryanto explained that this activity has been carried out by the Constitutional Court routinely in order to find out the implementation of the Constitutional Court\'s decisions.
This monitoring activity, Wiryanto added, aims at designing more efficient steps in order to monitor the implementation of the Constitutional Court\'s decisions through appropriate methods. "This activity is a continuation of our focus group discussion a few months ago, which involved speakers and academics, [and] law faculty lecturers from various universities throughout Indonesia," he said.
