JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The Constitutional Court (MK) received an award for excellent public services at the 2019 Public Services Evaluation with a score of 4.04 based on an evaluation by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform. The award was received by the Head of the General Bureau Mulyono at the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform on Wednesday (11/12/2019).

The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform intended that ministries and state agencies build communication and collaboration across agencies to improve public services, said Expert Staff for Regional Government and Regional Autonomy Jufri Rahman on behalf of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Tjahjo Kumolo in his address at the 2019 Public Services Awards for ministries and state agencies.

"I hope that we can build communication and collaboration across agencies to avoid sectoral ego in delivering services. Leaders play an important role in the efforts to improve the quality of public services in their respective units," Jufri said.

Jufri also said that the development of public services currently adheres to a new paradigm where the community is the center of the administration of public and government services. According to him, people\'s aspirations are the main reference in determining the direction of policies and the development of public service systems. Thus, the Government must be able to read and respond to the wishes and expectations of the community so that public services gain public trust, which is the main capital in national development.

Jufri also encouraged leaders of state agencies, who are the driving force, to explore innovation for improving service quality in their respective agencies. "[Leaders] must be highly committed to guiding and motivating their staff to move quickly, creatively, innovatively, and professionally to improve their services," he said.

Coinciding with the world’s Anti-Corruption Day on December 9, Jufri also encouraged the guests to avoid all acts of corruption. "Corruption is the main enemy of bureaucracy because it hampers development, causes inequality, and damages the mental and principles of good governance," he said. (Lulu Anjarsari)
