JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman delivered a keynote speech and closed the sixth National Moot Court Competition for the Chief Constitutional Justice trophy at the Auditorium of Tarumanagara University on Saturday (16/11/2019).

At the closing ceremony, Anwar expressed his gratitude to the jury. He revealed that he was very concerned with education because before becoming a justice he was a madrasah ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary school) teacher.

Anwar said the jury, who work as educators including lecturers, should be happy because being an educator means having a never-ending deed even in the afterlife. He also believes that the jury this time had difficulty in providing assessment because of the increasing quality of the participants in the competition.

Previously, Secretary General M. Guntur Hamzah, in his report said that moot court competition had been fair and competitive, thus could be used as a valuable experience to improve achievement in the next competitions. According to Guntur, this activity also helped participants learn new things.

The jury awarded the first place to Bengkulu University team, followed by Udayana University for second place, and Lampung University II for third place. Best file award was won by Padjadjaran University, best petitioner by Lampung University II, best information by the North Sumatra University II, and best expert by Midi Fardyah Eka Soraya from Lampung University II.
