JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—Ninety-seven fifth semester students of the Records Management Study Program of the Languages, Arts, and Culture Management Department at the Vocational College of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) visited the Constitutional Court, Monday (28/10/2019). They were welcomed by Junior Archivist Siwi Kartika Sari at the Delegation Room, who is also an alumnus.
On behalf of the college, Waluyo stated that they visited the Court to introduce the students to archive management at various state institutions. “Hopefully some of the fifth semester students, who will participate in community services in the sixth semester will be interested in learning about archive management at the Constitutional Court,” he said.
Beginning her presentation on “The Functions of Records in Archival System,” Siwi introduces the students to the archival unit at the Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court. Archivists of the Court must understand the authorities of the Court. Records in the Court are categorized into two: those related to cases and are substantive, and general ones that support the institution.
“Records in institutions are needed, among others, as sources of information, data of the organization, and proof of activities. In the archive system in the Constitutional Court, archivists work with the IT team to accelerate various work at the Court through applications,” Siwi explained.
Archival applications used by the Court are SIKD, SIPA, Sipanda, and e-minutation. The e-minutation is used to track the record of a case so that no documents are lost. “This e-minutation can minimize work accidents,” Siwi said. (Sri Pujianti/NRA)
