JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The Constitutional Court (MK) dismissed the petition No. 130-12-29/PHPU.DPR-DPRD/XVII/2019 filed by legislative candidate Hj. Ratna, S. Pd., M. Pd. in the 2019 DPR-DPRD (House of Representatives-Regional Legislative Council) election results dispute (PHPU) of Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra).
In the ruling hearing on Wednesday (7/8/2019) in the Plenary Courtroom of the Constitutional Court, Chief Justice Anwar Usman with the other eight constitutional justices determined and declared the petition dismissed. “Declares the Petitioner’s petition dismissed,” said Justice Anwar.
The Registrar\'s Office of the Constitutional Court received Ratna\'s petition on May 23, 2019. Ratna was a Baubau City DPRD candidate in the 2019 Election from the National Mandate Party (PAN).
Responding to Ratna\'s petition, the Constitutional Court held a preliminary examination hearing on July 11, 2019. However, Ratna (Petitioner) or her attorney did not attend without a valid reason even though she had been properly summoned through the Court Registrar letter.
The Justice Deliberation Meeting (RPH) held on July 19, 2019 considered the Petitioner not serious and did not want to continue with the case submitted. "Therefore, the Petitioner’s a quo petition must be declared dismissed," said Justice Anwar. (Sri Pujianti/NRA)
