JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The Constitutional Court (MK) issued a decree related to petition No. 135-09-10/PHPU.DPR-DPRD/XVII/2019 submitted by the United Indonesia Party (Perindo) on behalf of Andi Ruslan and Andi Kusuma for the Riau Islands Province (Kepri). The decree was read out on Tuesday (6/8/2019): the Petitioner withdrew the petition.

"Approves the withdrawal of the petition by the Petitioner," said Chief Justice Anwar Usman before the eight other justices. He stated this petition could not be re-submitted and he ordered the registrar to return the document to the Petitioner.

This petition was registered by the Constitutional Court on July 1, 2019 at 13.00 WIB. The petition questioned the allocation for Kepri DPRD seat for the electoral district (Dapil) of the Kepri IV. (Arif Satriantoro/LA/RD)
