JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The Constitutional Court (MK) held an interlocutory injunction hearing of the 2019 DPR-DPD-DPRD (House of Representatives-Regional Representatives Council-Regional Legislative Council) legislative election results dispute (PHPU) hearing, Monday (22/7/2019) in the Plenary Room of the Constitutional Court. In Panel 3, 21 cases will not continue to the next hearing.

The 21 cases will not continue to preliminary hearing of witnesses and experts and evidence verification for several reasons. Some of the reasons are that the petition was withdrawn, the petition’s posita does not correspond with the petitum, or the petition was not presented at the hearing. Besides the cases that were not continued, in the interlocutory hearing the cases that will continue to the next hearing were also announced. In Panel 3, the Court decided that 41 cases would continue to the next hearing, which will begin tomorrow on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
The Court had previously held a hearing on July 9-12, 2019 to examine the completeness and clarity of the materials of the Petitioner\'s petitions and approving the evidence. At the next stage on July 15-18 2019, the Court has also heard the Respondent\'s response, the statements of the Relevant Parties and the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), and approved the evidence. Thus, the Court has heard the statements of all parties related to the 2019 DPR-DPD-DPRD PHPU cases.
In Panel 3, the panel of justices examined 66 cases of DPR-DPRD PHPU and 4 cases of DPD PHPU of the 2019 elections. The cases included 11 provinces: West Java, North Maluku, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, West Sumatera, East Kalimantan, Sulawesi Southeast, West Kalimantan, West Nusa Tenggara, and South Kalimantan.
