JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The Constitutional Court registered the petition filed by Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno’s National Victory Agency (BPN) in the constitutional case registration book (BRPK) on Tuesday afternoon (11/6/2019).
"We came to complete the document according to the Petitioner\'s constitutional rights as stipulated in the Constitutional Court Procedure Law and the Election Law. Especially the evidence," said Denny Indrayana, one of Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno’s BPN attorneys.
As for the evidence and argument in the petition, according to Denny, they can be viewed on the Constitutional Court’s website. "According to Article 10 of the Constitutional Court Regulation No. 4 of 2018, the application will be uploaded after being registered in the BRPK. When? Maybe today. As for the evidence [and] argument of the Petitioner, you will [see] it soon," Denny explained to the press in the lobby of the Constitutional Court.
"Just wait on the Court\'s website. I do not want to overtake the Constitutional Court in explaining the evidence, the argumentation, [and] the argument of the Petitioner. Insha Allah our petition will be uploaded today," said Denny in the presence of Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno’s BPN legal team.
Previously, Presidential Candidate Pair Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno registered a 2019 Presidential Election Results Dispute petition to the Constitutional Court on May 24, 2019. The hearing will commence on June 14, 2019, followed by a statement from the Relevant Party, in this case, Presidential Candidate Pair Joko Widodo-Maruf Amin. There will also be a statement from the Respondent, the General Election Commission (KPU).
After the entire verification process is complete, constitutional justices will discuss it in the justice deliberation meeting (RPH) on June 25-27, 2019, while the ruling hearing will be held on June 28, 2019, pursuant to Article 78 of Law Number 24 of 2003 concerning the Constitutional Court, that the decision of the presidential election dispute case must be decided within 14 working days since its registration in the BRPK.
