JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The National Victory Agency (BPN) legalteam of presidential and vice presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno (Prabowo-Sandi) submitted a revised petition at the ground floor lobby of the Constitutional Court on Monday afternoon (10/6/2019). To the press after submitting the petition, Bambang Widjojanto said that his camp was using their constitutional right.

The revised petition includes argument regarding the official status of Vice President Candidate Number 01, Ma\'ruf Amin. Bambang added that the BPN legal team had discovered that until the revised petition was submitted, Ma\'ruf was still a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) official. Article 227 letter p of Law Number 7 of 2017 (Election Law) stipulates that a presidential/vice presidential candidate must sign a statement that they do not hold a public office when running for an election.

“We believe this matter must be considered carefully, which later could led to the disqualification of Candidate [Pair] No. 01. The [profile of the] vice presidential candidate No.1 still exists on the BUMN website. If that is true, it will be breaking the rules, because one must resign from a public office [when running in the election]. We checked repeatedly and confirmed that it is a serious violation," explained Bambang, who came with Denny Indrayana.

Related to the arguments submitted by his camp, Bambang said that in accordance with the Constitutional Court Regulation Number 4 of 2019 Article 10 paragraphs (1) and (3), in that after submitting a revised petition and after it is registered, it will be uploaded on the Court\'s website. The public will know in detail the arguments proposed by the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Pair No. 02. In addition, in relation to the evidence submitted to the Constitutional Court, Bambang also stated that he proposed 154 pieces of qualitative evidence, and some quantitative evidence of which number will be revealed in the hearing on June 14, 2019.
