JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) central executive board (DPP), through attorney Evi Risna Yanti, submitted files to complete the petition document for the 2019 legislative election (Pileg) of DPR-DPRD in Aceh, Langkat, Tebing Tinggi, and Konawe.

"Regarding the results of pileg in Aceh, we are asking for a revote. The results of pileg in Langkat, Tebing Tinggi, Konawe are concerned with vote margin," Evi said when submitting additional document for the 2019 Pileg dispute at the Constitutional Court (MK) on Thursday evening (30/05/2019).

According to Evi, the most complex problem in the petition was the results of legislative election in Aceh because in Aceh PKS found polling station(s) (TPS) where people who had no right to vote at the polling station vote there. According to PKS’ calculation, this is what creates discrepancies of the votes.

"Because there are quite a lot [of such votes], coincidentally in the plantation area, after we checked, they were registered in other electoral districts. So, we are asking for revote in several villages," Evi explained.

Regarding the results of the 2019 legislative election (Pileg) in Aceh, PKS asked for recommendation from the Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), but it was not implemented. Then, they brought it to the Constitutional Court on Thursday evening (23/5/2019).

On Thursday evening (30/5/2019), the Constitutional Court also received additional document from the Nasdem Party. The attorney of Nasdem DPP, Muhammad Fadli, explained that he submitted several pieces of evidence that were previously not in accordance with what was requested by the Constitutional Court. "Some of the evidence that we have completed are C1 and DAA1 forms," M. Fadli said.

"Coincidentally, we handle two cases. [A case involving] Ogan Komering Ulu Timur, a fellow party member, where one [of the candidates] committed ballot stuffing. Therefore, as petitioner we asked the Court to decide this case according to the evidence that we submitted. [The second case involves] Ogan Komering Ilir, where there was also ballot stuffing between different political parties," Fadli explained. (Nano Tresna Arfana/LA/MJK/YW)
