JAKARTA, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—The National Campaign Team (TKN) of Presidential-Vice Presidential Candidate Pair Number 01 Joko Widodo-Ma\'ruf Amin—Arsul Sani, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Juri Ardiantoro, and Irfan Pulungan—visited the Constitutional Court on Monday (27/5/2019). They requested information on the Constitutional Court Regulation No. 4 of 2018 on the Procedural Law in Dispute Case over the Results of the Election of President and Vice President.

Yusril as coordinator said that the TKN legal team needed consultation on the 2019 presidential election results dispute (PHPU). “For the smooth proceedings based on PMK No. 4/2018, as the Relevant Party we need to understand the regulation as it is being applied for the first time,” he said to Court Registrar Muhidin and the Head of the Legal and Registrar Administration Bureau Wiryanto, who welcomed the team.

Muhidin confirmed that the Court had given Presidential-Vice Presidential Candidate Pair Number 02 Prabowo and Sandiaga Uno as Petitioner the Constitutional Case Registration Certificate (ARPK) through the National Victory Agency’s (BPN) attorney on Friday (24/5/2019). The Court will register the presidential PHPU case on June 11, 2019 in the constitutional case registration book (BRPK), whose copy will then be given to litigants.

Muhidin also explained that the Respondent, the General Elections Commission (KPU) and the Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), shall submit a written statement at the latest one day after the presidential PHPU preliminary hearing on June 14. The Relevant Party shall submit a written statement and evidence the day after.

Electoral Document

Arsul Sani in a press conference said that in relation to the 2019 presidential PHPU petition filed by the BPN to the Constitutional Court, the TKN will be waiting for the BPN’s letter of claim (petitum). The TKN is currently preparing for electoral document such as the C1 forms and clustering of problematic regions.

“We are comparing electoral document such as the C1 forms, statements by the witnesses, experts, and other letters that could be supporting evidence in the hearings,” he said to the press at the Ground Floor Hall of the Constitutional Court. (Sri Pujianti/LA/Yuniar Widiastuti)
