BOGOR, Public Relations of the Constitutional Court—Head of the Pancasila and Constitution Education Center Kurniasih Panti Rahayu asserted that the technical assistance program serves to ensure the 2019 election dispute resolution runs well during the technical assistance program for the campaign teams of president/vice president candidates, KPU, and Bawaslu on Saturday (6/4/2019).

Constitutional Justice Enny Nurbaningsih also delivered a presentation at the event. She explained the procedural law for the legislative (pileg) and presidential (pilpres) election result dispute resolution. She explained that litigants are the petitioner, the respondent, and the relevant party. The petitioner and the relevant party may be political a party member, a DPRD candidate, a local political party member, as well as a legislative candidate of a local party. The respondent is the General Elections Commission (KPU), while the informant is the Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).
The petition should be registered by 3x24 hours since the KPU determines the national vote acquisition. It is made into four copies. It details the Court’s authorities, the petitioner’s legal standing, the deadline for petition, the subject of the petition, and the petitum. Evidence—letters, written statements, witness statements, expert statements, relevant party’s statement, etc.—should also be submitted.
In the pilpres dispute, the petitioner and/or relevant party are president/vice president candidates, while the respondent is the KPU. The petition for pilpres case ought to be submitted within three days of KPU’s announcement of the votes.
