Constitutional Justices Aswanto and Wahiduddin Adams took an oath before President Joko Widodo as constitutional justices for the 2019–2024 term at the State Palace, Thursday (21/3/2019). The oath declaration was held after the Commission III Selection Committee of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) decided to re-elect Aswanto and Wahiduddin Adams in the due diligence and fit and proper tests.

Based on Presidential Decree Number 32/P of 2019 dated March 20, 2019, read out by the Head of Administrative Bureau of State Officials Deputy for Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of State Secretariat Harly Agung Prabowo, both were officially sworn-in as constitutional justices for the 2019–2024 term since they took an oath before the President. Wahiduddin and Aswanto were nominated by the House Commission III selection committee.

"By God, I swear that I will fulfill the obligations of constitutional justice to the best of my abilities and as fair as possible. [I will] uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and carry out all laws and regulations as accurately as possible according to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and serve the state and nation," Justices Aswanto and Wahiduddin swore before the President .

House Commission III selection committee re-nominated Aswanto and Wahiduddin Adams as constitutional justices for the 2019–2024 term after a selection process, House Commission III Chairman Kahar Muzakkir said during the 14^th House Plenary Meeting at the Nusantara Building of the House of Representatives. After listening to the views of the factions, the Commission III on March 12, 2019 held a plenary meeting and deliberations with a consensus nominating Aswanto and Wahiduddin Adams as constitutional justice candidates.
