288 employees in the Registrar’s Office and Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court participated in the Workshop on the Procurement of Government Goods/Services in the ground floor Hall of the Constitutional Court on Friday (8/2/2019). The event was motivated by the Presidential Regulation No. 16 of 2018 on the Procurement of Government Goods/Services. On the basis of the instruction, the Constitutional Court seeks to play a role for the success of the national development of public services and national economy.

"Since July 1, 2018, there are 12 new arrangements related to the procurement of government goods/services. For this reason, this activity is not only emphasized on the procurement of goods/services but also on budget use on quality so that every rupiah allocated for the procurement of goods/services can provide added value to the country\'s microeconomic development," explained Head of the Human Resources Development and Organization Bureau Mulyono submitting a report in the Workshop on the Procurement of Government Goods/Services.

Secretary General M. Guntur Hamzah in his opening speech said that it is important for all employees to follow the massive development of regulations on the procurement of goods and services, especially in state institutions. By cooperating with the National Procurement Agency (LKPP), Guntur hoped that all Court employees, especially the new civil servants, could gain the best possible knowledge about the procurement of government goods/services.

“Take advantage of this opportunity to learn. Maybe later [some of you] will be involved in the procurement of goods/services. So, it is necessary to keep abreast of the rules and dynamics and challenges in the procurement of government goods/services,” he said before the structural and functional officials of the Court.

He also encouraged everyone to support LKPP in performing its duties, because putting trust on the institution in the procurement of goods/services will keep a state institution from gray areas in the procurement of goods/services that can encourage officials to commit dishonorable acts. “By making LKPP a consulting agency for the procurement of goods/services, we will avoid harmful things because the goods in the LKPP e-catalog are quality, original goods from verified suppliers,” he advised.

The one-day event also present LKPP expert, Director of the Development of Public Procurement Strategies and Policies Fadli Arief   and Head of the Sub-directorate of Certification Management Windy Dian Trisari. (Sri Pujianti/LA/Yuniar Widiastuti)
