Oath is something that must be accounted for and not merely a formality. This was the message of the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman in his speech on the oath declaration and inauguration of administrator officers (echelon III) and supervisory officials (echelon IV) as well as probationary civil servants in the Registrar\'s Office and the Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court in the Lobby of the Plenary Courtroom on Wednesday (2/1).
Anwar further stated that the inauguration of officials in the Constitutional Court had gone through an objective process and not based on favoritism. Therefore, he hoped that the new officials and civil servants not abuse the mandate that had been assigned to them for individual interests. "It would be akin to receiving and giving something that is not good, which means flowing dirty blood to family, children, and wife. So, in this new position [you] should possess the characteristics of being tabliq (communicative), shiddiq (righteous), amanah (trustworthy), and fatanah (smart)," he explained in the presence of the Deputy Chief Justice Aswanto, Secretary General M. Guntur Hamzah, and Heads of Centers and Bureaus in the Registrar\'s Office and Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court.
The oath declaration and inauguration of civil servants in the Constitutional Court was based on the Decree of the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court No. 112/2019 on the Inauguration of Civil Servants by declaring and inaugurating 60 probationary civil servants as civil servants and the Decree of the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court No. 113/2018 on the Inauguration and Development of the Constitutional Court Staff by declaring the inauguration and the transfer of 34 civil servants in several fields, including the administration of protocols, court facilities, and library.
