Secretary General of the Constitutional Court (MK) M. Guntur Hamzah delivered a presentation on instilling constitutional values to 90 high school scouts at the 2018 Constitutional Camping on Sunday (21/10/2018) at Bumi Boko\'s Campsite, Yogyakarta.

The activity, mainly organized by Gadjah Mada University\'s Scout Unit, is part of the 2018 Constitution Week and collaboration between the Constitutional Court and the Law Faculty of UGM. Along with the Constitutional Camping, the Law Faculty of UGM also held a Community Development Dedication in Candibinangun Village, Yogyakarta. On that occasion, Guntur revealed that even school rules must be in line with the 1945 Constitution. "So we can be sure, (regulations that are not in line with the 1945 Constitution) can be called a flaw of the Constitution," explained Guntur.

Some participants ask questions to Guntur. Guntur appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants to find out the role of the secretary general in judicial institutions such as the Constitutional Court. According to Guntur, the roles of the Secretary General and the employees at the Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court are three: justices’ assistants, assistants to the institution, and assistants to the community at the same time.

Several competitions were also held at the 2018 Constitutional Camp: quiz, debate competition, photography competition, video competition, and poster competition. The 2018 Constitution Camp was officially closed with ceremony, announcements, and distribution of prizes. (Raisa/LA)
