The European Union-the United Nations Development Program (EU-UNDP) visited the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MKRI) on Thursday (10/18) afternoon. The visit of the EU-UNDP Senior Advisor Gilles Blanchi was received directly by the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman in the Constitutional Court Delegation Room.
On the occasion, Blanchi revealed the purpose of his visit, that is to invite the Constitutional Court to speak at a seminar held by EU-UNDP in collaboration with the Algerian Constitutional Court on October 29-31, 2018. The seminar, he added, would discuss the theme "The Processing of Exception of Institutionality, Exchange of Experiences of Constitutional Courts." "Several countries will speak [in the seminar], such as Georgia, Egypt, France, Belgium, and others," Blanchi explained.
Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman welcomed the invitation. He said he would consider the invitation by the EU-UNDP and the Algerian Constitutional Court. The EU-UNDP is known to be developing a project supporting judicial reform and one of the activities carried out is a seminar with the Algerian Constitutional Court.
