To improve support to constitutional justices, the Registrar’s Office and Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court collaborates with the Maastricht School of Management (MSM) in providing an internship program for staff members of the Court.
The cooperation between the Registrar’s Office and Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court and the MSM was signed in Maastricht, the Netherlands on Tuesday (9/10/2018). The MoU was signed by Secretary General M. Guntur Hamzah and the MSM Chief Executive Officer Meinhard Gans. Both institutions agreed on cooperation in staff competency improvement through internships, executive courses, training, seminar, and applied research. Both parties also agreed on exchanging experts on state administration, management, and law and democracy by collaborating with the MSM Faculty of Law.
In the meeting, Guntur said that the Constitutional Court is an institution that prioritizes modern ways in facilitating the public to litigate at the Court. He also stressed that the Court uses electronic-based IT that not only facilitate access for justice seekers, but also provide knowledge, ease, and improved working culture in the Court. The delegation of the Constitutional Court also visited the MSM campus and observed their facilities.
The Hague’s Indonesian Embassy Appreciate the Constitutional Court
The day before, the Constitutional Court delegation led by Secretary General M. Guntur Hamzah met with the Indonesian Ambassador for the Kingdom of the Netherlands I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja at the Embassy’s office in Tobias Aserllan.
Wesaka appreciated the Court’s progress in encouraging its staff to study abroad. Wesaka hoped that through the recharging and internship programs at The Hague University, the Court will continue to be able to compete with foreign resources.
In response, Guntur hoped that the Court will be able to collaborate with education institutions in the Netherlands so as to prepare Court staff that will be able to compete with the progress of the times and the global conditions, in order to provide optimum support for constitutional justices.
